Rory's first 4th (well technically 3rd) of her life! We had a great time, and started out with the neighborhood parade per usual.
Rory didn't seem terribly happy to be awakened at the unholy hour of 7:30, and her stone face prevailed for a good share of the morning.
Dany, however, seemed to have a wonderful time pedaling along on her little tricycle, despite the fact that she could have been lapped, and then lapped again by pretty much everyone else in the parade. Here she is on the left.
After we finally made it to the park, and breakfast, Rory started to loosen up with some pancakes on board.
And she had even more fun once Dad took her to the swings after wards.
Teag had a flight later that morning, so we couldn't stay too long, but luckily he was home in the evening for all of this:
Notice how Dany is in the middle of everything, but my parents are literally dragging Maisie on the Slip 'n Slide? Again, how different their personalities. And that point was driven home even harder later that same evening when it was firework time. Here's how Dany enjoys the fireworks:
And here's how Maisie observes them:
Make sure you notice the GIANT ear muffs! We had to coax her just to do sparklers! What kind of kid doesn't want to do SPARKLERS? Seriously, these two are different as night and day. Such funny kids, but it certainly makes for some interesting holidays.
