Beagle Birthday

Teag celebrated his 33rd birthday this year. Unfortunately, he didn't get to spend that day with us. He was off in Phoenix, AZ for work. The silver lining, however, was that his uncle and several cousins live there, so he was able to spend the evening with them, and (after some sneaky arranging on my part, through Teag's mom) they even surprised him with a birthday cake. I was so happy to hear that they took care of him, and helped make his day special.

He arrived home on the Saturday after, and we all celebrated with him then; first with a special dinner of bacon-wrapped filets, brussel sprouts, and baked potatoes with lots of fixings. Then we did cake and presents.

Rory was very interested in Teag's presents and was very encouraging while he opened them.
The best part came when Finn grabbed Teag's second present, and decided Dad needed a little help.

Luckily, his dad is a pretty cool guy who didn't mind. After the presents were all done, Teag got to blow out the candles on his birthday cake. I love the look on Rory's face, like she's subconsciously getting ready to blow with him.
Even though Teag wasn't here on his actual birthday, we tried to make it special for him, because he really is an amazing man who deserves a special day. We love you, Teag!
