The 4th of July is becoming one of my favorite holidays! The last two have been so great, full of family and good food, a whole day of summer fun! The day always starts out with the neighborhood kiddie parade and pancake breakfast.
We usually get pictures of our kids on their decorated bikes and scooters, but having a newborn threw a bit of a kink in the works, and we didn't get there early enough for pics. So instead, here's some of the kids enjoying their food.

Thanks to Aunt Tristin for making such cute hair bows for all the girls! After the breakfast, we've continued a new tradition we started last year of having some water fun.
We pull out our tiny pool, and this year we acquired a Slip n' Slide. Prepare to be inundated with pictures.

Even Millie got in on the fun! It's been pretty brutally hot here, so even with the pool the kids were grateful for a little frozen refreshment.

Lastly, we headed over to Brad and Sara's for another tradition started last year; a barbecue followed by an outdoor movie. We watched "Fantastic Mr. Fox", which both me and the kids liked, and Teag thought was bizarre. It was great fun, and something I've really come to look forward to.
Before we left for the barbecue, we quickly snapped a few pics of all the kids together in their 4th of July finery :).
I hope everyone had as great a time celebrating the birth of our country as we did. Happy 4th!
