Happy B-day to Ree!
Just a bit late posting this one. Sorry, Ree.
Unfortunately, Kerri's actual birthday ended up being quite busy, with things other than Ree festivities. Rory had her Preschool graduation in the morning, and I had Scouts earlier than usual in the evening. We tried our best to treat her right, but the traditional movie marathon was not to be on the already-packed day.
Still, she received several presents which she seemed to enjoy, and we made her a special birthday dinner of shrimp cocktail, barbecued salmon, smashed red potatoes, and asparagus. To finish it off, she requested a never-before-made cream puff cake. It was essentially a cream puff crust with a pudding center, topped with whipped cream and chocolate. It was dangerously good, and may become a birthday cake of choice for more than one individual in our family.
The following night we were able to go out and actually celebrate. We had a nice dinner at Em's and watched Les Miserables at Pioneer Theater Company. We really enjoyed Steve and Katie's company at dinner, and the musical was reasonably well done. It was a much better night than having your husband rush off early to a merit badge clinic and being home alone with your kids.
We love you, Ree! We hope this year is a fantastic one for you!
