A few weeks ago, we strapped all the kids into the car and headed to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point. We'd heard good things about it, and as the kids had a day off from school, thought it might be a nice way to spend some time together.
Besides seeing full size dino skeletons, and other prehistoric life, the kids got to build their own dino.

Their dinosaur has three heads and two tails... not sure what period that would be from.
After that, we went to a sand and water table, where they could create dams and habitats for some plastic dinosaurs in roam in.
Finn was surprisingly patient for all of this, and even got pretty excited.
We saw some other ancient life murals, including this shark one, which is probably my favorite picture of the whole outing.
And lastly, we spent awhile digging for bones, an activity that Finn was thrilled to be able to participate in.
When we were finished at the museum, we swung by the new Popeye's nearby and had tasty chicken for lunch. A pretty satisfactory outing, overall.

That looks like a fun place! I will have to take the kids there sometime when we are in town!!
