The Cheese Factory

Yesterday Teag had the day off, and despite the fact that both our girls had pretty nasty coughs, we decided our family needed a little time together. We tossed around a few ideas, but since the idea had struck us a little late in the morning, we didn't have much time to execute any lengthy plans. In the end, we decided to take a short plane ride up to Logan and visit the Gossner Cheese Factory.

The girls love to fly, and I'd never been in a twin-engine plane before.
We made it up to Logan in about 30 minutes, borrowed the bare-bones courtesy car, and we were off!

The girls were very excited about the free cheese samples Gossner's offered, and Teag and I were excited about the sale on pepper jack cheese, yum! Unfortunately, it looks like they must finish work in the factory VERY early, since it wasn't even 2:30, and it looked very deserted through the factory window. But we still got some pretty fun pictures of the girls.
Isn't there a story about a little girl who wakes up one morning with antlers on her head? :)

After that we had some lunch, but someone needed the plane at 4:00, so we had to hurry home. Both on the way there and on the way back we were flying right below these huge banks of mashed potato clouds, sometimes skimming through the bottoms. It was pretty amazing to see in person, but the camera doesn't do it much justice. If nothing else, you can see how close we are to the mountains.
All in all, it was a fun little jaunt, and the girls had a good time getting out of the house and trying something new. And who doesn't like cheese?
