Snowmageddon

I borrowed this title from a friend of mine, as it seemed so very appropriate. Back in January we had a series of snowstorms that left us with a very large accumulation of snow. After awhile the drifts were so high our front yard looked a little like an arctic tundra. So, like any awesome dad, Teag spent some time fashioning caves, forts, and slides for the girls to play in.

As you can see at the bottom of the above picture, he also fashioned snowballs for them to throw at him.

He cut steps into the side of one of the huge drifts, so that they could slide down the other side. Dany was pretty gung-ho right away.

But Rory needed to ease into it a bit more gently.
Finn's still a little small for these kinds of activities, so he watched them from inside while unpacking his diaper bag.
Though the shoveling is brutal, our kids had a blast and played with all dad's creations for days. Just wish we'd bought the snow-blower beforehand.
