The Living Room Hike

We decided to stick around good old Salt Lake for Spring Break this year, but we also wanted to make sure we weren't sitting around the house either, so we took advantage of some mild weather and hiked up to the Living Room.

The Living Room, for anyone who doesn't know, is located behind the U campus, where some creative and energetic soul created "couches" out of large, loose pieces of slate.

The hike itself boasts some pretty spectacular views of the city.

It also goes through small woods and hills that the kids had a bunch of fun exploring and singing in.

The weather was overcast and slightly cool, which was perfect for this trail, as there isn't much in the way of shade. There were also several little places to stop where the kids had fun doing a bit of bouldering. All in the name of getting ready for trek!
